The right thing to do

I have been interested in politics since I left college. I graduated from high school at Phoenix Academy. After that, I attended community college, but balancing work and study did not go well, so my professor advised me to take a break from classes, and I did.

Politics is a very interesting subject because it is deeply connected to how human beings naturally think and behave. People seek power, security, recognition, influence, cooperation, and sometimes self-interest. To understand politics, we must first understand human nature itself.

We should not automatically be judged as good because we are young or bad because we are old. In politics, wisdom, character, competence, and judgment matter more than age. Young leaders may bring energy and new ideas, while older leaders may bring experience and stability. Neither age group is automatically superior.

Every society and every human relationship involves some form of power: who influences whom, who makes decisions, and who controls resources, laws, or opportunities.

Power is unavoidable. It exists everywhere in human life.

We care deeply about power because it affects our freedom, money, safety, identity, rights, and future. Political disagreements are rarely just about ideas; they are often about who gets influence, authority, or control. When power changes, people may gain or lose status, opportunities, or security.

Politics becomes sensitive because it deals with the struggle, distribution, and use of power, something that affects every human being personally and collectively.

These “rules” of politics are real and do not depend on what we like or want.

To improve society, an organization, or your own political position, you first need to understand how politics really works. You cannot change these basic rules. If you try to change them, you will not succeed. If you ignore them, you might do well for a short time, but later it will cause problems.

These rules help us understand what is happening in political situations. They also help us choose different actions and judge whether those actions worked well or not.

The important thing is that, to understand politics, we must first understand human nature itself.
